Luckily my kids are at the age where balloons are the best possible gift.
For this illustration, this was my process:
- Drawn with pencil
- Outlined with black pen
- Scanned and colored in Photoshop
- Computer freaked out on me and deleted parts of my drawing.
- I decided to leave it as is

so very, very true. I remember when all my daughter wanted was a red balloon now it's computer laptops, ipods, and Wii stations. This is a great illo. I really like the style.
I like it with the simplified color. It makes it looks a bit like a silkscreen print. That kid's face is wonderful.
